Orlando Airport (MCO) for Port Canaveral Cruise Guests and Theme Park Guests

Here is a simplified (MCO) Orlando Airport Map complete with a description and tips for cruise guests and theme park guests.

We discuss the two sides (A and B), the four levels and why you must be careful to choose the correct side when you arrive or depart! We also look at transportation and the options available to you.

In the image you can see the two sides (A and B) and how they are connected via Level 3. Side A is to the north closer to the airport hotels, while Side B is to the south towards Kissimmee.

You also see the walkway tunnel underneath Level 1 (ground) on both sides that connect the Car Rental Desks with the vehicles in the garages!

Note: Most baggage claim carousels are on Level 2 but there are a few on Level 1. Watch the monitors closely after arrival.

On Level 3 is the Shuttle Train to/from the terminals (one minute ride) which you access after clearing security.

On Level 4 is the check-in counter of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, reachable via escalator or elevator from Level 3. Day Use Rooms are available if you have an evening departure flight.

How Do I Get From Side A to Side B or vice versa?

Let’s say you made a mistake and got dropped on Side A Level 1 but your flight departs from Side B. What do you do?

Simply take an elevator or escalator to Level 3 then walk across to Side B. You will pass restaurants and shops and lines of people waiting to enter security!

Where Do I Check In for Disney’s Magical Express Buses to Disney World Resorts?

Look for the signs posted everywhere!

Make your way to Side B Level 1.

In the corner beyond the rental car counters you will see a sign pointing you to the check- in line.

The buses will be just outside the doors and you will wait in one of several lines designated for different resorts.

Where Do I Check In for Disney’s Cruise Line Buses to Port Canaveral?

Look for the signs posted everywhere for Disney’s Magical Express!

Make your way to Side B Level 1.

In the corner beyond the rental car counters you will see a sign pointing you to the Cruise Line check- in line on the left. Do NOT pick the line (to the right) for Disney’s Magical Express.

Where Do I Check In for Carnival Cruise Line Buses to Port Canaveral?

(Always check the directions on your bus ticket from the cruise line)

Make your way to baggage claim on Level 2 (or Level 1 – watch the monitors) then go down via elevator or escalator to Level 1 where you will see the rental car counters.

TIP – Look for cruise line employees in red shirts near the escalators! They will assist you!

Terminal B – The Carnival bus check-in counter (pier transfer) is near the exit doors where the buses wait outside.  Close to the Hyatt Hotel end of the terminal and across from the Hertz Counter. The representative will a put your name on a list then you will wait inside the terminal until boarding time. The representative will lead your group outside and to you bus (waiting near Parking Bay B21)

Do not be distracted by the many Disney Magical Express buses dropping their passengers in the same area!

Terminal A – There is no check-in counter. Make your way to the middle of the rental car area and look for Carnival representatives in red shirts. You have to sign up with them then wait until boarding time. The buses generally park near bay A31.

Where Do I Check In for Norwegian Cruise Line Buses to Port Canaveral?

(Always check the directions on your bus ticket from the cruise line)

Make your way to baggage claim on Level 2 (or Level 1 – watch the monitors) then go down via elevator or escalator to Level 1 where you will see the rental car counters.

Terminal A – There is no check-in counter. Make your way to the middle of the rental car area and look for RC representatives walking around. You have to sign up with them then wait until boarding time. The buses generally park near bay A31.

Where Do I Check In for Goportcanaveral Buses to Port Canaveral?

(Goportcanaveral is a booking agency based near the Port.  Always check the directions on your bus ticket)

Make your way to baggage claim on Level 2 (or Level 1 – watch the monitors) then go down via elevator or escalator to Level 1 where you will see the rental car counters.

The Goportcanaveral bus check-in area is near the exit doors in Terminal A – Gate 18 where the buses wait outside.

Where Do I Get My Rental Car?

Make you way down to Level 1.

  • If your company has an airport location then the counters are next to one another. If you are Fastbreak or similar member you can proceed directly to your vehicle via the walkway tunnel (take the escalator or elevator down) or cross the busy road.
  • If your company has an off-site location then take the free shuttle bus outside the doors on Level 1.

Where Do I Meet My Uber, Lyft or Wingz Driver?

Make you way down to Level 2, step outside and meet your driver at the posted signs at the far ends of each terminal as shown below. You may have to communicate via your App to help the driver find you.

Where Do I Hail a Taxi?

Make you way down to Level 1, step outside and line up at the taxi stand. Taxis depart from parking bays A5-A8 and A22-A25 on Side A and B5-B8 and B30-B34 on Side B.

Where Do I Meet The Shuttle Van to My Airport Hotel?

Make you way down to Level 1, step outside and look for the parking bays for hotel shuttles.

Where Do I Meet The Shuttle Van to the Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach Area?

Make you way down to Level 1, step outside and look for the parking bays for Out-of-Town Shuttles.

Make you way down to Level 1 and look for the Mears Transportation Desk near the Rental Car counters.

Public buses to the Downtown Area depart from Side A Level 1 only!  Look for parking bays A38-A41. Contact Lynx for schedules.
