Introduction to Doubletree Cocoa Beach Oceanfront
The Doubletree by Hilton is a beachfront hotel in Cocoa Beach. With plenty of parking, ocean view or partial ocean view rooms, an on-site restaurant and a nice pool, it is a popular hotel with cruisers who enjoy the beach as well as the perks offered by the Hilton Hotel group at lower rates than the nearby Hilton hotel.
The Doubletree Cocoa Beach is an oceanfront property only 6 miles from the cruise terminals. The beach is just steps away! Expect to pay about $32 per day for 2 beach chairs and an umbrella.
As shown on the map below, the hotel is located in a quiet area of Cocoa Beach but there is a Publix grocery store across the road (sells wine and beer). The strip mall is also home to one of the area’s best restaurants – Florida’s Fresh Grill – as well as an Irish Pub – Paddy Cassidy’s (no food). Please call ahead to avoid disappointment at the Grill because it is very popular. The friendly Irish Pub offers pool and darts with occasional live music but is somewhat dark inside.
Port Shuttles – Yes
Included in Park, Stay and Go packages for all registered room guests. Departure times are 10am, 11am, noon. Extra persons are $8 per one-way trip. Shuttle services are provided by Cocoa Beach Shuttle.
Onsite parking – Yes
Hotel parking included in Park, Stay and Go packages for up to 7 nights. Otherwise $8 a night.
Restaurants and Bars
The 3 Wishes Restaurant and Lounge is popular even with locals who stop in often to enjoy the bucket drinks and brick-oven pizza!
Most of the rooms afford some ocean views but the ones nearest to the beach on the higher floors are clearly the best.
While the heated pool itself is rather small with little privacy, the area takes up most of the space between the hotel and the beach and is actually very inviting.
